Do Not Fear!                   written  Mar 13/21

Why the fear, for I am here!  Do not fret, I am not finished yet!
Where’s Your faith?  Listen to what I say;
even the wind and waves, at my Word they obey!

Oh Rise up Faith, and throw out unbelief!
For I will calm the storm that rises here!
Take it all, put it all on my shoulders!
I can bear the weight, so Do Not Fear!   Oh Do Not Fear!

Your on my mind, and in my dreams.  Rest assured its not as bad, as it may seem.
I'm not Asleep!
The words of unbelief;  When you throw them out, that when you‘ll receive. (chorus)

Bridge:   Do Not Fear, For I am here!
I give you Power in place of the Fear!
Rise up faith, I carried the weight
To give you Power in place of Fear!

The Story Behind the Song
What can I say?  Is it self explanatory? Who of us hasn't walked in fear, especially these days?
This song comes from the musings of this story and imagining what Jesus would have said/sung to me if I was there in this story.

Jesus Calms a Storm
They all got into a boat and began to cross over to the other side of the lake. And Jesus, exhausted, fell asleep.  Suddenly a violent storm[a] developed, with waves so high the boat was about to be swamped. Yet Jesus continued to sleep soundly.  The disciples woke him up, saying, “Save us, Lord! We’re going to die!”[b]
But Jesus reprimanded them. “Why are you gripped with fear?[c] Where is your faith?” Then he stood and rebuked[d] the storm, saying, “Be still!” And instantly it became perfectly calm.[e]
The disciples were astonished by this miracle and said to one another, “Who is this Man? Even the wind and waves obey his Word.”
Matt 8: 23-27 (the Passion trans)
